Camchain (“we”, “us”) is a cloud-based vehicle service logbook. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account info: email address and authentication identifiers.
- Vehicle data: vehicle details you enter (type, year, make/model, notes).
- Service logs: maintenance entries, dates, odometer readings, and optional notes.
- Shared access: membership/role information when vehicles are shared with other users.
How we use information
- To provide core features (create vehicles, write logs, calculate due/overdue schedules).
- To secure access (authentication and authorization by roles).
- To maintain and improve the service (debugging and performance monitoring).
Data storage & processors
Camchain uses Firebase services (Google) for authentication and database storage. Your data is stored in cloud infrastructure and protected using access control rules.
Sharing & vehicle history
Vehicles can be shared with other users. If you add members to a vehicle, they may be able to view or edit the vehicle and its service history depending on their role. Service history is intended to remain with the vehicle over time.
Your choices
- You can remove shared members (subject to role permissions).
- You can delete your account (contact support if self-serve isn’t available yet).
- You can request export or deletion of your data (contact support).
