Privacy Policy

• Account info: email address and authentication identifiers (including if you sign in with Google or another provider).
• Vehicle data: vehicle details you enter (type, year, make/model, registration, notes).
• Service logs: maintenance entries, dates, odometer readings, parts, and optional notes.
• Attachments: photos and PDF files you upload to service logs, stored in cloud file storage.
• Shared access: membership and role information when vehicles are shared with other users.
• Device & usage data: push notification tokens and basic diagnostic data (page load times, error logs).

• To provide core features (create vehicles, write logs, calculate due/overdue schedules, generate PDF exports).
• To secure access (authentication and authorization by roles).
• To send push notifications (maintenance reminders if you opt in).
• To generate vehicle valuation estimates (see "Third-party processors" below).
• To maintain and improve the service (debugging and performance monitoring).

Camchain uses the following third-party services to operate. Each is contractually obligated to protect your data:

• Firebase (Google): authentication, Firestore database, cloud file storage for attachments, and push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging).
• Stripe: payment processing for Pro plan purchases. Payment card details are handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number.
• Google Gemini API: vehicle valuation estimates. When you request a valuation, vehicle data (make, model, year, odometer, condition) is sent to Google's AI service. No personal identifiers (name, email, account ID) are included.
• Vercel: hosting of the application web frontend and API routes.

We use browser local storage and IndexedDB to keep your session signed in between visits. This data stays on your device and is not sent to our servers beyond what is required for authentication.

We retain your account data for as long as your account remains active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days, subject to any legal obligations to retain certain records (such as payment transaction logs, which Stripe retains per financial regulations).

Vehicles can be shared with other users. If you add members to a vehicle, they may be able to view or edit the vehicle and its service history depending on their role. Service history is intended to remain with the vehicle over time, including after a change of ownership.

If you are in the European Union or California, you have the right to:

• Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your data.
• Request a portable copy of your data.
• Withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent).

Camchain is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us so we can remove it.

• You can remove shared members from your vehicles (subject to role permissions).
• You can opt out of push notifications in your device settings or profile.
• You can request account deletion by contacting support.
• You can request export or deletion of your data at any time.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or an in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
